Studio Policies/Fees
Students of all ages and levels of music education are welcome! I am available to teach at Middle Tennessee State University or at your own home or school.
Lesson Objectives
Lessons will focus on developing good tone, technique, and musicality through recommended exercises, etudes, and standard repertoire based on the needs of the student. I will discuss how students should practice and what they need to work on based on their abilities, needs, and available time commitment.
Practice
It is extremely important and required that students practice consistently and for parents to encourage their child to do so if needed. In order for lessons to be productive and worthwhile for the student, whoever is paying for the lessons, and even the teacher, it is important that the student is prepared each week. Students who do not practice should not expect substantial progress.
Here is my recommended practice schedule:
Beginner: 20 to 30 minutes 4-5 days a week
Intermediate: 30 minutes to 1 hour 5-6 days a week
Advanced: 1 to 2 hours 6-7 days a week
